The FIBARO dimmer micromodule

The FGD-212 dimmer micromodule will allow you to control a lamp or ceiling lamp remotely thanks to the Z-Wave protocol while keeping your existing switch.

You will therefore be able to operate the connected lamp and vary its intensity using the existing switch, a Z-Wave transmitter or directly from the button on the micromodule.

The new FGD-212 FIBARO drive is equipped with an intelligent light source detection algorithm that facilitates configuration and ensures high device compatibility.

It has self-protection against overload and soft start function.

In the case of non-dimmable light sources, only the ON/OFF function is possible (in connection with 3 wires).

It is compatible with any type of lamps supporting the variation or not:

• As a dimmer
  • Conventional incandescent and halogen light sources powered by 230VAC
  • 12V halogen lamps (with electronic transformers)
  • 12V halogen lamps (with ferromagnetic transformers)
  • Variable LED lamps
  • Variable fluorescent CFL lamps
  • Use of the Bypass with a light source with adjustable intensity up to 225VA in 2-wire connection (depending on the type of charge)

It can be used in 2-wire mode (without neutral), replacing an existing switch, or three wires with a conventional power supply of the module (Phase + Neutral).

For lamps with a very low consumption (LED lamp for example), you can use the FGB-001 charge (bypass) which allows a correct operation of the module.

In addition to the variation function, this micromodule can also measure the power consumption of the connected load. Instantaneous consumption values (in W) and total power consumption (in kWh) can be viewed.

A Z-Wave controller (remote control, dongle ...) is necessary in order to integrate this detector into your network if you already have an existing network.

Each Z-Wave module works as a wireless repeater with the other modules, to ensure full coverage of your home.
