ReX is a range extender of communication signals that extends up to 2 times the radio communication range of Ajax devices equipped with a hub. It can be used indoors and has built-in burglary resistance and is equipped with a battery that allows it to operate for up to 35 hours without external power.

ReX integrates the devices into a stand-alone group in the system. The extender takes full control of the situation if the connection with the hub is interrupted for any reason. If one of its detectors sends an alarm signal, ReX can activate the siren to draw attention to the incident and scare away the burglar.

Without going into technical details, several ReX can increase the radio coverage area of security systems up to 45 km². At the same time, the transmission of an alarm to the hub takes less than 0.3 seconds. ReX can be installed at a distance of 1800 meters from the hub (ReX compatible with all Ajax hubs), providing stable two-way communication with sensors, sirens, power control devices, keyboards and remote controls assigned to its network.

In design and hardware, ReX is very similar to Hub, but without Ethernet and GSM modules — the latter are useless for a range extender running on the Ajax network. In standard operating mode, the device is powered by the electrical network of the premises and, in the event of a power failure, by the built-in backup battery. ReX has an exceptional battery life of up to 35 hours.

The unique operating logic of the OS Malevich system protects ReX from software and hardware attacks and allows it to resist viruses and attempted system violations. In addition, all communications with ReX are encrypted, making it virtually impossible to intercept signals.
