Presentation
This Z-Wave+ DIN module enables the control of an electric radiator with a 4 or 6-command control cable. This module can be controlled by the Z-Wave network or via one to three switches.
Today's electric heaters are generally fitted with a control cable entry, enabling the different temperature instructions according to the radiator's internal thermostat and the regulation of the radiator concerned. Heaters with a control cable and mainly used in France.
You simply need to connect this micromodule to 230V mains current and to the control cable entry of your heater to be able to control the latter according to the commands.
Electric signal | Control cable instruction transmitted to the heater | |
---|---|---|
No signal / No current | Comfort The radiator thermostat instruction is respected. |
|
No current during 297 seconds, then current again during 3 seconds. | -1°C | Comfort -1°C The radiator thermostat instruction less 1° is respected. |
No current during 293 seconds, then current again during 7 seconds. | -2°C | Comfort -2°C The radiator thermostat instruction less 2° is respected. |
Normal electrical cycle | Eco Thermostat instruction -3.5°C |
|
Negative half-cylce | Frost protection The temperature will remain above a certain level to avoid the pipes freezing. |
|
Positive half cycle | Stop The heating is completely switched off |
The installation is extremely easy and the module enables the connection of up to 3 different switches. The switches can, at choice, control one of the different control cable commands, or be used for the remote control of another Z-Wave appliance.
This module is both economical and ecological: its own electricity consumption is less than 0.7W and by enabling you to reduce your heating when required it will contribute to using less energy. You will therefore be able to save energy and money with no reduction in comfort levels!
Coupled to a home automation box (Z-Wave controller required for the installation and configuration), the module will enable you to engage the different control cable commands according to your planning.
