RF Player, the multi-protocol USB flash drive that makes your home communicating

The RF Player interface is a home automation gateway compatible with many protocols:

  • SOMFY RTS (Panes, Portals)
  • DELTADORE X2D (Alarm, heating, home automation)
  • VISONIC (alarm)
  • CHACON/DIO (home automation)
  • SCIENTIFIC OREGON (weather station peripherals)

The RF Player interface is bidirectional and transmits as well as it simultaneously receives 433 and 868Mhz radio frequencies. Plug it in USB to a compatible system, and it will serve as a radio gateway to communicate in transmit and receive with all your supported sensors.

It has the most sophisticated mechanisms to maximize its performance: OSD (One Stage Decoder), LBT (Listen Before Talk), high immunity to parasites by SAW filters (Surface Acoustic Wave)

The RF Player can also manipulate unknown protocols:

  • It knows how to cooperate with the Open Source community thanks to its RFLINK-compatible interface. RFPlayer records unknown radio frames and provides them to the RFLINK software for analysis in the home automation BOX. Conversely, RFP1000 can transmit radio frames generated by the RFLINK software.
  • It has the PARROT function!

RF Player can exploit unknown protocols thanks to the "PARROT" function

If you teach it, PARROT knows how to memorize 433 and 868Mhz radio frequency frames with great precision. He just has to listen to them. His understanding of frames is "phonetic".

Later, it will be able to:

  • to recognize them in real time if they appear on the airwaves, very useful information for a home automation BOX,
  • to reissue them when the home automation BOX wishes at the appropriate time.

PARROT adapts to the unknown.

RF Player repeats radio frames thanks to the "Repeater" function

Home automation transmissions are prone to range issues. This is due to:

  • a phenomenon called "fading" which can occur even at a relative proximity between transmitter and receiver of the signal,
  • to the intrinsic weakening of the signal with distance.

The RF Player plugs into a 220V-USB power supply in "standalone" mode to ensure the repeater function, which will reamplify the signal while drastically reducing the probability of fading. The range is therefore greatly increased and the radio frequency exchanges carried out with better reliability.

Repetition is smart:

  • the frames are recognized and put in shape,
  • RF Player is waiting for the best time to rebroadcast the signal to avoid any radio frequency collision.

PARROT can contribute to this repetition, it's the least you can ask of a parrot!

The PARROT function cannot be used for rotating code protocols.

Rf Player acts as a home automation interpreter thanks to the Transcoder function

The TRANSCODER function allows the repeater to convert frames from one protocol to another protocol on the fly as output, including those stored by PARROT.

A cost-effective remote control with many channels can replace several expensive remotes from another brand with fewer channels... A closed home automation BOX (without USB port) can extend the scope of its covered protocols...

An alarm becomes able to take into account information previously inaccessible... Everyone gains in connectivity.
