Zigbee and Thread (Matter) on the same chip

The SkyConnect Home Assistant is designed to be a perfect match for Home Assistant users. It is Plug and Play, making it quick and easy to use, even for beginners!

The device allows easy connection with Zigbee and will support Matter specifications in the future with a Home Assistant firmware update.

The product supports Over-The-Wire (OTW) firmware update via USB interface, which allows easy and fast firmware update for both protocols. It is based on an EFR32 Series 2 adapter (Silicon Labs EZSP v8) that transmits at +20 dBm.

The SkyConnect stick supports full speed USB 2.0 when plugged into the included USB extender. The included USB extender cable avoids interference, not using it may cause intermittent instabilities or problems.
Home Assistant will provide an addon that will contact the Ember batteries for Zigbee and Matter. Nabu Casa will provide regular firmware updates to provide the best possible user experience with a Zigbee/Matter adapter.

Disappointed - Aqara switch not fully compatible

With SkyConnect associated with an aqara discount, I’d have expected full compatibility and easy setup. Unfortunately not. While the switch is detected perfectly on my Dresden Conbee II, it fails to be added with the SkyConnect.

Oh well, this is why I have Test and Prod systems I suppose.

Funktioniert super!

Einstecken, wurde vom System erkannt, installiert und seitdem läuft der Stick ohne Probleme. Nutze den Stick an einem alten Laptop den ich mit Homa Assistant bespielt habe. Würde ich empfehlen!

Great new Zigbee stick

I have replaced my previous conbee 2 + deconz configuration.
Now my Zigbee devices are more responsive with SkyConnect.
USB stick comes in a box with an USB extension cable.
Highly recommended, definately the best solution for Home Assistant in 2023.
