Apollo Automation - mmWave presence sensor and multisensor MSR-02 with CO2
The MSR-2 CO2 is a millimetric presence sensor coupled with a CO2, UV, LUX, temperature, humidity and pressure sensor. Based on ESPHome, it is designed for Home Assisant users.
The MSR-2 integrates a wide range of sensors into a compact and affordable housing (about 28% smaller than the MSR-1). With dimensions of 40.0 mm by 24 mm and a profile of only 15 mm, this sensor fits perfectly into any space.
mmWave Radar Sensor (HLK-ld2410b): recognizes the most subtle movements. Ideal for instantly detecting someone entering a room and keeping you informed of their presence, even with minimal movements. Keep the lights or fans on in a room until everyone has left.
LUX and UV Sensor (LTR-390UV): provides more precise and higher quality light readings thanks to a dedicated light sensor placed in an optimal location. Check the UV index or simply the light level (lux).
CO2 Sensor: This optional addition adds a CO2 sensor to the set, which comes pre-calibrated and ready to use. Manage thermostat or fan controls based on room conditions or receive an alert when CO2 levels are high.
Temperature and Pressure Sensor (DPS310): provides accurate temperature and pressure readings. The pressure improves CO2 sensor readings. Note: The ESP32-C3 in constant WiFi connection generates significant heat; you may need to adjust the offset depending on your setup, and the temperature will not be as good as a dedicated sensor with less heat buildup.
Bluetooth Tracker (ESP32-C3-Mini) - YAML Configuration Required: track Bluetooth devices in your home, allowing you to know which devices are closest to the sensor. You will need to know the MAC addresses of the Bluetooth devices you want to track.
** Primarily Android. There doesn’t seem to be a good way to track iPhones in Home Assistant unfortunately. Find your phone if you left it in the office or bedroom or detect who just entered the room.
RGB Pixel: uses color-coded alerts for different home scenarios.
- Blinks red if the garage door is open.
- Blinks green on trash nights.
- Blinks blue when it’s treat time for your pup.
Piezobuzzer: emits different types of beeps for various alerts.
- Intermittent beeping when CO2 levels are high.
- Three beeps when motion is detected in the basement when it shouldn’t be.
- One beep when an exterior door opens.
